Around June 21st we celebrate the Summer Solstice, Litha or Alban Hefin, this is the longest day, the time when the Sun is at his peak and we see the Holly king return to take his crown and reign over the waning half of the year when each day until the Winter Solstice it is the darkness that will gain in power.
